Malta Social is an independent guide to going out and meeting people in Malta and Gozo: where to go, what is on, what it costs and how to get home afterwards.
Who it is for
Locals, expats, Erasmus and language-school students, remote workers and visitors, mostly aged 18 to 35, who want to get out of the flat and spend time with people in person. Moving to Malta, paperwork and daily-life topics live on our sister site, Malta Expat Life.
What we cover
- Going Out: Area-by-area going-out guides for Malta and Gozo: bars, prices, dress codes and getting home.
- Events: Festas, festivals, concerts and what's on in Malta, with dates checked.
- Places: Real public places in Malta to meet people: cafés, clubs, sports, classes and community spots.
- Plan Ideas: Plan ideas and social etiquette in Malta, including who pays and how to make a first meetup easy.
- News: Malta going-out news: openings, closures, transport changes and what's new.
Our editorial standards
- Facts are checked against official or first-hand sources before we publish, and we link to them where we can.
- Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. Prices, opening hours and timetables carry the date we checked them.
- We say what is not great as well as what is: costs, crowds, transport gaps and anything else you should know before you go.
- No paid placements. If we ever publish a sponsored or partner mention, it will be clearly labelled as such.
- We do not use AI-generated images of people. Photos are real and credited, or we use none.
- Spotted something wrong or out of date? Tell us at contact@maltasocial.com and we will fix it.
Who is behind it
Malta Social is made by the small team that is building MeetNow, a free app for meeting people in person. We mention MeetNow where it is genuinely useful and always say that it is our own app. Read our disclosure for details.
